Annie Bell (Nook) Ross Cherry Harris

Brief

History

Mom lived her life serving God and her fellow mankind. She, along with Dad (Vanders) raised eight children and her oldest grandchild.  Mom also raised four additional step-grandchildren, helped with most of her other grands, great grands and great-great grands.

She provided full-time care for aging adults in her home and countless others outside her home. Mom was the Mother of her church, attended most of the significant events in our lives, always listened, coached, mentored and was willing to learn.

​

She was the founder and underpinning of our annual family reunion and with God's help, the foundation that kept us strong.

Public School,  Foster Parent and Assistant for Cancer, Diabetes, and Alzheimer patients

Organizations, Clubs, Activities

Church Choir, Volunteer worker for senior citizens, Sunday School teacher, Volunteer worker for sick people in the community. Mom also attended the Austell Center in Austell, Georgia. She and her group at the center were acknowledged in the Marietta Journal Newspaper by showing the beautiful quilt they made.

Award

Won award for 2nd Place Queen.

Cherry Lifetime Achievement Award

Mom received an award for Exceptional Commitment to family as a Mother, Guardian, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother as well as for the humane care of others as a Caregiver for the Disabled & Elderly.
